Another batch of mortars calibre 60 mm for the Land Forces
In the years 2014-2017 The Armament Inspectorate intends to purchase a total of 108 pieces of light mortars LM-60D calibre 60 mm that have been produced in Tarnow Mechanical Works. It is estimated that there will be 27 mortars delivered a year.

The weapon was created in the years 1995-1997 and it was admitted to the Military in the Polish Armed Forces in the year 2002. Defence intends to acquire mortars LM-60D to the year 2021. This suggests that the planned amount of purchases in the years 2014-2017 and comparable in the period from the year 2018, will provide the Armed Forces with a total of nearly 500 pieces of mortars from Tarnow.
It is worth noticing that the ammunition produced for LM-60D in Metal Works Dezamet, includes a mortar cartridge with a frag round O-LM60 and a mortar cartridge with a illuminating round S-LM60.
